HONEST, NO SCAM GARAGE DOOR TORSION SPRING REPAIR “NEAR ME” SERVICES
Garage door springs ensure your door opens and closes smoothly. Overhead garage door springs are mighty, and if they break, the garage door may unexpectedly fall. Because broken garage door springs pose significant safety risks, you must ensure they are in safe working condition year-round. It’s also best to enlist the help of a professional for spring repair or replacement, as replacing a garage door spring may result in injury. Broken or faulty springs can also cause the opener to burn out from working harder. Repairing or replacing your garage door springs will help save you money in the long run.
GARAGE DOOR TRACK REPAIR
Has your overhead door garage come off the track? If so, The Good Guys Garage Door Repair can help restore your garage door to its proper position. We can supply the right parts for all overhead doors if you only need track replacement parts.
GARAGE DOOR ROLLER REPLACEMENT
Garage door rollers are the little wheels that ride along the track of your overhead door. They come in numerous types and allow rolling doors to roll. If your overhead garage door rollers become noisy, you must replace them. When your garage door rollers work correctly, your entry will run quietly and smoothly.
GARAGE DOOR PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE
The average garage door will go up and down more than 1,000 times yearly. Regular garage door preventive maintenance ensures your operating system continues to run smoothly without posing potential risks to pets, property, or household members. With too much wear and tear and improper maintenance, overhead doors can lock, stick or even fall on cars or other objects that get in the way.
Did you know regular overhead garage door maintenance costs less than repairs? Regular garage door maintenance can also improve safety conditions and increase the life expectancy of your garage door opener, hardware, and parts. We recommend an annual garage door tune-up to help ensure reliable, quiet operation and safety for your overhead door.
Before we get started, remember that any accident — including your overhead door getting damaged or dented by a moving vehicle — requires the help of a professional. An experienced technician, such as the ones at The Good Guys Garage Door Repair, can inspect your overhead door for free. Some accidents require inspection and systems testing that standard garage door maintenance cannot cover.
When you trust the trained professionals at The Good Guys Garage Door Repair, you’re guaranteed comprehensive, cost-effective solutions that will keep your garage door in safe operational condition. Our technicians will perform the following preventive maintenance:
- Perform a safety inspection on the door as well as on the opener or operator
- Tighten lag screws, nuts, and other hardware
- Ensure the tracks are aligned, straight, and tight
- Apply lubricant to moving parts
- Inspect bottom fixtures, shafts, drums, cables, bearing plate, and spring anchor attachment.
- Remove excess debris buildup from the tracks and photo-eye sensors
- Determine if springs need to be re-tensioned
- Inspect the garage door’s spring system for signs of excessive rust or wear and tear.
Remember, a garage door makes up approximately one-third of the exterior of your house, so performing regular preventive maintenance is crucial. When in-between annual maintenance checks, observe your garage door’s daily operation and note any unusual behavior, noises, or debris buildup. Call us today to schedule your professional garage door maintenance!
About Yukon, OK 73085, 73099
Yukon, OK, is a city in eastern Canadian County, Oklahoma, United States. It is part of the Oklahoma City Metropolitan Area. The population was 22,709 at the 2010 census. Founded in the 1890s, the town was named after a gold rush in Yukon Territory, Canada, at the time. Historically, Yukon served as an urban center for area farmers and the site of a large milling operation. It is now considered primarily a residential community for people who work in Oklahoma City.
Yukon OK was founded by A.N. Spencer in 1891 and was named for the Yukon River, which flows from British Columbia across the Yukon, and into Alaska.
Spencer, a cattleman from Texas turned railroad builder, was working on a line from El Reno to Arkansas when he decided to build the town. Spencer filed the plat on the townsite on February 14, 1891. He had agreed to do so and lay the train tracks through the city in exchange for half of the lots which Minnie Taylor and Luther S. Morrison owned. Taylor and Morrison had acquired the land in the 1889 land run. Spencer also bought two-quarter sections south of Main Street from Joseph Carson and his sister, Josephine. Spencer and his brother, Lewis, named the town after the Yukon Territory of Canada, where a gold rush was booming at the time.
The first houses and businesses were on the north side of Spencer Avenue (now Main Street) and present Fourth and Fifth Streets. The Canadian County Courier reported on April 1, 1891, that the city had 25 homes, one bank, two real estate offices, two restaurants, a lumber yard, a hardware store, a grocery, a livery stable, two saloons, a blacksmith shop, a printing office, a barber shop, and a second barber shop “about completed.”
The Choctaw, Oklahoma, and Gulf Railway Company laid its track, causing the abandonment of Frisco, which had a population of 1,000 at the time. Beginning in about 1898, Yukon began to attract immigrants from Bohemia. Following World War I and the dissolution of Bohemia into Czechoslovakia and Moravia, the immigrants became known as “Czechs.” Yukon is known as the “Czech Capital of Oklahoma.”
The town voted to incorporate in 1901 and voted to add water works, sewer, and electricity from the mill in 1910. Businesses remained clustered on Main Street between Fourth and Fifth until the 1920s when they began to locate in other parts of the town. The interurban was built from Oklahoma City to El Reno in 1911. It closed in 1940. Paved roads didn’t arrive until the construction of State Highway 66 in 1926.
Yukon thrived as the urban center for area farmers and had an organized library by 1905 and a dedicated building in 1927. A small milling operation, the Yukon Mill and Grain Company, opened in 1893 and grew to shipping flour and feeds throughout the south and exporting them overseas by 1915. The Kroutil and Dobry families owned the milling operation, but the Dobry family built their mill and parted ways with the Kroutils in the 1930s. The mills were sold to more giant corporations; Shawnee Mills purchased the Yukon Mill and Grain Company, and Mid-Continent purchased the Dobry Mills. Paying homage to that history, the students of Yukon High School are known as “Millers,” and their mascot is “The Miller Man.”
In 1949, Yukon garnered national media attention because of the plight of Grady the Cow, who was stuck inside a silo for four days.
From a population of 830 in 1907, Yukon grew to 1,990 by 1950. By 1960, the people registered at 3,076. Oklahoma City annexed nearly all of the land around Yukon during the 1960s. This brought a boom in residential construction and commercial development. The town had grown to approximately 22,000 residents in 2005.
The Yukon Public Schools district includes 11 schools, serves a community of 36,938 people, and encompasses 66.10 square miles of land and 2.18 square miles of water. The school district offers preschool through secondary school education. The school served 8,781 students in the 2017–2018 school year.
The high school has won state titles in softball in 1986, 1991, 1997, 2000, and 2010; boys basketball in 1974 and 1979; baseball in 1982, 1996, and 1997; and cheerleading in 2002.
